Zaxares. As the title states, I'm having trouble getting the CD music without Opera vocals working in my game. I can switch between MIDI and CD Music w/ Opera easily enough, but if I select the w/o Opera version then all of the town music fails to play; it just continues playing whatever terrain music I had playing previously before I entered Heroes® of Might & Magic® III is a turn-based strategy game, originally released in February 1999. Sorry for the lack of updates and that this Heroes of Might & Magic 2 Civilization 2 mod is taking so long guys. I spent quite a bit of time over the last 2 years working on my other Command & Conquer and Red Alert 2 scenarios for Sid Meier's Civilization 2 resulting in things looking pretty good with them now. I am trying to get HOMM II to run on my Surface Pro 2, but I'm running into problems. The DOSBOX version runs perfectly with a mouse and keyboard, and has the music I love. I can't, however, get it to work right with my touch screen. The Windows version is the opposite. It seems to still have the midi music, and I can't get it to run in From United States. Posted June 27, 2013. I have the same issue. Here is what I've tried to resolve it: 1) Ran the game as administrator (as well as various compatibility modes) 2) Checked registry for old homm3 key (although I'm fairly certain I've never had it on this comp) 3) Downloaded and used Heroes3HD.exe. In the original CD version of the game, the game used a special audio CD trick to make a unique sound, but since the game doesn't use a CD anymore, this isn't possible. (Or at least not easy to do.). The DOS version makes no sound when these are used now and the windows version plays a small excerpt from one of the battle tracks. Download MMarchive v1.2.1 from here and open/extract the .snd files from H3's /data directory with it; they hold all the audio fx. Using the same tool you can open the .lod files in the /data directory to extract all graphics and background, etc 3. PerryR1. b36eUCl.
